Counselling for every age, every stage and every story
Counselling for every age, every stage and every story
We understand that it can be tough to be a kid, a teen and even an adult these days. There’s a lot of pressure to succeed, and it can be hard to deal with.
We are experienced and qualified counsellors who specialise in children & young people, adults, couples and family counselling throughout Blackpool and the surrounding areas. We understand that mental health is just as crucial for children and young people as it is for adults. we offer counselling for every age, every stage and every story.
Children’s counselling and teen counselling are ways to provide comfort and understanding to children and teens who are facing emotional, behavioural, or mental health difficulties.
This specialised type of therapy is designed to help children express their emotions and develop healthy coping mechanisms to overcome any challenges they may be facing.
This type of counselling considers children and teens’ unique developmental needs and uses age-appropriate therapeutic techniques (also known as interventions) to engage them in the therapeutic process.
We create a safe and supportive environment where children can freely express themselves through play, art, storytelling, and other creative activities. This approach allows them to communicate their thoughts, emotions, and experiences non-verbally, as children and teens may have difficulty articulating their feelings verbally.
All counselling is provided by licensed mental health professionals who have specialised training in working with children, young people and adults, couples and families. We are licensed professional counsellors.
It is important to note our counselling often involves collaboration with parents or caregivers. They may be involved in sessions, receive guidance on supporting their child’s or teen’s emotional well-being, and may also participate in family therapy if necessary.
Overall, counselling provides a safe and supportive space for people to explore their emotions, develop coping skills, and work towards positive growth and well-being.
